i started drawing when i was 9.  i shifted to knitting, sewing, stitching and crafting after my kids were born and my attention span shortened. i know that might not make sense to you but drawing requires a great deal of time and concentration.  these other crafty endeavors are way easier to pick up and put down at will.

i like creating new and unique items by reclaiming yarn, recycling goods, and upcycling old bits of fabric and such.  most of the items created for this blog and the shop use something recycled with something new.  i hate to throw things away (ask my hubby!). so i like to find a way to give them a new life.

bohannon

bohannon is a multi directional shawl. it is first worked sideways and then short rows shape the left side and from there it is worked down. it’s construction lends well to several options for color work and striping. (options are included in the pattern.)

eventhough i knit this in a fingering weight yarn, i think this would look great in a worsted weight for a nice big cuddly winter shawl.

yarn: fingering
i used knit picks palette in garnet heather
i used sock it 2 me by elann yarns

needle:
us 6

gauge:
20 sts x 23 sts = 4 inches in garter stitch
